Shipping and Delivery Policy
We deliver to most countries that our logistics partners have affiliates in and whilst we strive to keep our rates affordable, our focus is on getting the items to you quickly, promptly and safely. For a list of countries that we deliver to and our charges, you may select your item and proceed to the check-out page as charges are based on weight & volume. Upon entering your delivery details, we will auto calculate the delivery charges based on your given address without the need for payment or registration.
Kaptan Lda offers two types of shipping methods: Express and Standard. The exception is Portugal and Spain where only Express shipping is available.
Kaptan Lda often uses the following carriers: CTT, CTT Expresso, DHL, DPD and TNT. The carrier used depends on the best option available at the time of shipment of your order, based on the weight and volume of the order, as well as the location of the customer.
⦁ Order Status & Tracking
All orders placed from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) will be processed within 2 working days upon confirmation of payment, from our warehouse. This could vary with circumstances such as online security checks, shipping restrictions, payment authorization, packing and dispatching of orders. An email confirmation will be sent for all orders once received.
⦁ Tax & Duty Charges
All orders are shipped from Braga, Portugal.
Please note that international orders may be subject to additional tax & duties. For delivery in any non-EU (European Union) country, we highly recommend that you check whether local tax or duties may be applied to your order before making any purchases from our website. If there are additional charges to be made, the carrier will contact you for payment before or upon delivery.
If you refuse to pay tax & duties applied to your order, the carrier will attempt to return your order to Kaptan Lda. If successful, a refund will be processed within 14 days of receipt. However, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund amount. Please note some countries may not allow your order to be returned for failure to pay tax & duty in which case a refund is not guaranteed.
⦁ Shipping Restrictions
Shipping restrictions apply to products containing substances which, as constituted, are considered hazardous to air transport. These include some of our liquid products containing alcohol, which cannot be shipped to certain countries.
If you have added one of these products to your cart and the shipping address is in a country where such restrictions apply, you are required to remove your product(s). Alternatively, you can change the shipping address to a destination where such restrictions do not apply.

Due to Brexit, the United Kingdom is now considered a non-EU country and, therefore, since 1 January 2021, parcel shipments to this destination are subject to customs clearance and potentially subject to additional fees and taxes. Claus Porto has no control over these costs and cannot be held responsible for them. Additional information can be consulted here. These handling fees will depend on the value of the shipment:

For orders above 1kg, delivery costs are calculated based on the weight and destination of the order. We kindly ask you to verify the value of our tariffs on the checkout page.
Free Shipping: Free shipping is valid for the total of products weighing less than 1 kg.
NOTE: The purchase value considered for free shipping is the value of the products including all discounts on products or promotional discounts and excluding shipping costs and fees. The cost of each shipment is calculated for each order, and depends on the number of products, the destination and the urgency of the shipment. When finalizing the purchase, you will see the different options available.
⦁ Important Notices
All orders confirmed by Kaptan Lda will be delivered to the address that you specified for delivery when placing your order. After your purchase, you’ll receive the corresponding confirmation. We will send an e-mail containing all the details of your delivery as well as your respective tracking number as soon as the order is expedited so that you can verify the progress of your package directly on the carrier’s website. If your payment method of choice happens to be ATM (“Multibanco Reference”, available only in Portugal), your order will be expedited as soon as we receive the corresponding payment.
Kaptan Lda ships its products only to the list of countries stated above. We guarantee the shipment of your order until it arrives at the respective destination country, whilst exempting ourselves of any responsibility regarding eventual customs fees and product entry restrictions in force on some destinations. The client has to contact local import authorities in order to verify the necessary additional procedures.
Kaptan Lda declines any responsibility in case of violation of the legislation of the country where the order is delivered. It is up to the customer to check with local authorities the import or use conditions of the products they wish to order. The risk of damage or loss passes to the buyer at the time of delivery or if he mistakenly refuses delivery when attempted or if the details provided are not correct. Surcharges may apply if the buyer is not present at the time and place of delivery. An order is considered “delivered” when the delivery receipt is signed at the agreed address.
Please note that all delivery time frames are estimations and that they may vary during busier trading periods.
For destinations outside the EU, please consider that these delivery estimates do not include time needed for the customs department of your country. Customs control may delay your delivery time. This process may take up to 5 business days. Our prices are excluded of all taxes applicable by the custom law of your country.
Once the order is confirmed and in our system no changes can be made on our end. Our customers are responsible for providing the right shipping information.
